Friends Outside and the Santa Clara County Department of Corrections
Friends Outside is a organization that assists inmates who are in need of assistance from a source outside the Santa Clara County Main Jail or Elmwood Jail where persons are housed in custody having been arrested for misdemeanors and felonies. A person housed in the either of the jails may obtain assistance from Friends Outside by submitting an Inmate Request Form to their Unit Officer. Friends and family of the person housed in jail may also contact Friends Outside on behalf of the inmate. Friends and family may do this by contacting a Friends Outside Jail Services Representative or may email Friends Outside directly.
