Home Supervision
In Santa Cruz County HSUP or Home Supervision may be used by the judge instead of detaining a youth in juvenile hall in a case involving
juvenile crimes. Should the judge order Home Supervision, a probation aide from the Santa Cruz County Probation office supervises the youth seven days a week while the youth remains in his or her own home. A representative from the Probation Department will make home visits, school visits and phone calls at various times during the day and evening. A youth is ordered not to leave his or her home except if the youth goes to work, school or to a treatment program. Contact Christine McGuire, the
