Work Release, Santa Cruz County

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Work Release Program permits persons meeting certain criteria to serve their sentence in a misdemeanor or felony criminal case through the performance of community service work projects in Santa Cruz County.  Should the Judge recommend the person for Work Release, the person may apply for the Work Release Program. The application process determines whether the person meets the program's criteria.  Applicants pay a one time $52.00 application processing fee.  In addition the applicant pays $10.25 for each day of his or her sentence.  A person recommended for Work Release applies at the Santa Cruz County Jail located at 259 Water Street in Santa Cruz.  If you are arrested or charged with a misdemeanor, contact Christine McGuire, The Santa Cruz Criminal Defense Attorney.
